Fashion finds: Longchamp “Le Pliage”
I’m a fan of Longchamp‘s popular Le Pliage bags. It is definitely my first choice to bring to holidays. I love that the huge bag can be folded and tuck into my luggage bag. It also helps that its waterproof so I can be sure that important documents in my bag would be safe from the rain. It’s also a very durable bag; my Le Pliage bags which are already a few years old are still in tip top condition. Did I mention that it’s so spacious that I can fit a water bottle, a book, a wallet, an umbrella, makeup bag and other knickknacks in it? Yes, just like the photograph above.
Many people also don’t know this: Lonchamp has a very liberal exchange policy. If the surface of the bag has ‘bubbles’ after some time, you can change it for a new one with no question asked! That is as long as the original tag inside the bag is intact. However, I was a little disappointed that the distributor in Malaysia, BNA Distribution Sdn. Bhd, initially refuse to honour this promise. In that case, you can either file a complain (like I did) or get it changed in Singapore.
Okay, enough gushing about the bags. I’ve found a blogshop selling authentic Longchamp bags. To be honest, I’m not very confident about buying branded goods online. However, I do know that Longchamp bags are a lot cheaper in countries like Hong Kong and Paris. Air stewardess are known to buy these bags overseas and sell it at a cheaper price than bags in Malaysia to make profits. If you’re in doubt, it is advisable to personally contact Smashing Pit Stop to confirm the authenticity of their bags. On top of that, you may like to learn how to spot a fake Longchamp bag.
