Buyers are not the only one who face problem with shopping online. Many owners of blogshop had complained about buyers who place an order but fail to make payment. Some even refuse to reply to their e-mails. We received a complain from the owner of Pepperlove regarding her experience with a back-out buyer. We’ve contacted the interested buyer via e-mail but have yet get a reply.

hello,

i’m the owner of PepperLove (http://pepper-love.blogspot.com/). i have a small complaint to make regarding a supposed-to-be-but-now-MIA buyer. i’m not trying to badmouth about other people but this is just a warning to other sellers.

first of all, what i want to say is i made a mistake in the first place. at first she sent me an email regarding a vintage dress in my blog. but silly me, i misread it and thought it was regarding another vintage dress. i admit it was my fault and for that, i’ve given her discount to make up my mistake. we’ve settled it and she even agreed to continue to purchase the dress.

i have a 3 days reservation policy but she said she needs more time to find atm, so she asked for extended reservation. she sent me a msg on 01/12/09 and said she’s going to pay on 10/12/09. i understand her problem so i decided to gave her the extension period of reservation. for 10 days, i waited for her.

on 10/12/09, i sent her a message her to ask if she has banked in or not. she seems to have forgotten about it, so i reminded her about the price and all. the next two days, i sent her another message to ask whether is she really interested in purchasing the dress, but she didn’t reply up until now.

i’m very upset of her action, really wish she had the courtesy to reply my message. i don’t mind if she wants to backout, i just need her to tell me. because of her, i lost another potential buyer.

here’s her email :
vitreouszircon@hotmail.com

i have her add and contact number. if anyone wants it, just email me.

What do you think?

Have you ever back-out on buying anything from a blogshop? If you are a seller, do you have bad experience with back-out buyers?

We’ve received a complaint letter from Dyra who complain of  a blogshop’s profesionalism www.blissfully-beautiful.blogspot.com. Dyra asked to restock a leopard printed skirt and Blissfully Beautiful obliged. She said that Blissfully beautiful told her that she already pack the skirt for her but later told her that the supplier did not manage to reserve for her. Dyra thought that it’s nonsensical and is disappointed that she couldn’t get the skirt. She added that she still wants the skirt and an explanation from Blissfully Beautiful who did not reply to her email.

We’ve contacted Blissfully Beautiful, who promptly reply that Dyra failed to make payment at the end of November as promised. As Blissfully Beautiful did not hear from her for too long, they release the item thinking that Dyra is another back-out buyer. Blissfully beautiful is willing to show the copy of emails between them and emphasised that the action is necessary for the flow of their business.

Buyer’s Complain

hye i ordered a leopard print skirt from www.blissfully-beautiful.blogspot.com
first i asked her whether its restockable then she said it is restockable she is goin to supplier on monday ( i emailed her the weekend before)  so i have to comfirm with her.

However i said i am interested BUT i have not received my pay yet. She said she trusts me so she went to supplier and got the skirt and already PACKED it for me.i already comfirmed my order with cod either at ou/curve.i will pay when i receive my pay asap
So when i wanted to comfirm COD she said SUPPLIER did not manage to reserve for her.how can this happen when she said she already PACKED it for me??????????? not logical right?

why LIE that she already packed it for me ? so i am bound to pay her? she was the one that said she does not mind waiting for me to get my pay first. I’m really dissappointed as i really liked the leopard skirt ;(

i hope u can publish this on your blog so future customers will proceed with caution when ordering from her.

i still want the item but the blogowner has not replied me after my last emailed where i said ” i thot u reserved and packed for me”

im not picking a fight i just need an explaination and if the item is still available i still am interested.

Seller’s reply

first of all, she made the order on the 18th of november. she said she will make payment end of the month. and yes, now its the 8th of december.

she told me she would contact me and let me know when her pay is out, but it has been so long that i havent heard from her. i do hope that you understand my situation here.
do you think that it’s really relevant for me to keep that piece of stock for her as she hasnt contact me for at least 2 weeks or so?

there are back out buyers out there, i’m sure you know about it. and if buyers backout, we as the seller will lose out as we already have paid for the stock up front. plus i did not ask for any deposit from her.
if you want proof, i still have the copy of emails between me and her.

i did say i did pack it for her, but it was like 2-3 weeks ago where she didnt even initiate to contact me for further confirmation or notification. as a seller, i cant be holding onto a stock for so long when the buyer can’t confirm that she really wants it.
i am on the losing side if i were to hold on to her piece after not hearing from her for 2-3 weeks as i already paid my supplier, and if no one wants it.”

What do you think?

We’ve seen the last complaint letter and most people think that it is the buyer’s fault.  This time, do you think that it’s a misunderstanding or the fault of one of the party?

We’ve received a complaint letter from Foong Jin who bought two preloved dresses from Gorgeous by Shashaari and was disappointed to find out that there were oil stains, a hole, furring and other defects on both items. Fashionomy contacted the owner of Gorgeous by Shashaari to clarify the matter and received a reply.

Buyer’s complain:

Last week, I bought 2 dresses from a preloved blogshop http://gorgeousbyshashaari.blogspot.com/. In the course of enquiry, I specifically ASKED her if there were any furring or defects on the items, to which she answered “No defects”.

However, when I received it, I was so disappointed to find oil stains, a hole and furring, among other defects on both the items.

Naturally, I requested for a refund, as goods that were delivered were not as promised and this amounts to a misrepresentation. However, she turned around and claimed that I don’t mean to be rude but I sell preloved stuff. Which means they are used. So there will be fraying, material elasticity loss and also minor discolouration. This is all due to washing. I did tell u how many times I used the dress and frankly when u buy preloved stuff u must ready to accept the minor setbacks as I am selling it for 80% cheaper of the normal price.”

I further replied that she herself has stated that the goods have no defects, and I believed that, which was why I was so disappointed when I received them. Isn’t it convenient of her to remember telling me how many times she has worn them, but forgetting the part where she said there’s no defects?

Frankly, I do not believe her words as well. She said the pink one was only worn once, but there’s a tear/hole in it already? Even my pyjamas which are worn and washed daily does not have any holes in them!

As stated above, I did reply to her email, however, she has ignored my reply which led me to write to you to seek your help. I hope that you all can post up a warning on your blog for other blogshoppers against believing and buying from her, because she is obviously not an honest dealer. Furthermore, she claims on her blog’s sidebar that she “only wear my dress once and thus, it is all in good condition”. This is obviously untrue as proven.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance in this matter.

Regards,
Foong Jin, KL

Seller’s reply:

The seller believes that she had done she part by revealing the number of times she had worn the item and giving the buyer extra photographs as per requested

Seller’s response

She also said that there is a clause in her blogshop which states that goods sold are non-refundable and exerts that buyer’s also have their obligations.

One of Gorgeous by Shashaari terms and conditions

In Shaari’s last mail to Fashionomy, she emphasised that she doesn’t sell bad stuff and that she will tell her customers the number of times she had worn her dresses even though there’s a sentence in her blogshops stating that ‘I only wear my dresses once’. She also added that she has many happy customers and returning ones.

What do you think?

Whose fault do you think this is? Do you think that the buyer is being unreasonable, the seller is being dishonest or do you think it was all an unfortunate misunderstanding?

edited: we added further replies from both the buyer and seller
