Leigh Lezark, the new it-look in the Fashion Industry. She is what I call, the triple-threat ; a DJ, a model and a Fashion Icon (best known as Karl Lagerfeld’s muse). She has been stealing the spotlight with her edgy asymmetrical black bob. Most recently, Karl Lagerfeld has included her in his highly-anticipated short film, Remember now.

I thought that she couldn’t top her wardrobe marathon throughout New York Fashion Week, she has wowed us again with her amazing looks for Paris Fashion Week 2010. My favorite will be the chiffon frock that she wore at Christian Dior Fashion show.

Honestly, I wasn’t a fan of Maxi Dresses but now, I just love them. These maxi dresses have made a return as the dress-of-the-moment for Summer 2010. The season sees a wide variety of fits and fabrics to flatter all ages and shapes. In contrast to Summer 2009’s body-con dresses, maxi dresses are fresh, relaxed and cool, providing great coverage but maximum comfort on a hot summer day or balmy evening. Casual day wear oozes a barefoot hippie vibe whilst dreamy dresses in pretty prints and longer-lengths make them glamorous enough for evening wear.

How to wear them?

1 : If you are shy of showing your shoulders and arms, here is a way to wear a cardigan without looking frumpy. Choose a long and loose cardigan in a contrasting color and avoid from buttoning up the cardigan.

2 : Accessories can make or break your look, so choose them with care. The ideal accessories to pair with maxi dresses are gold bracelets or thin gold bangles and a huge jeweled cocktail rings.

3 : If you are tall, wear flat shoes with your maxi-dress. If you are short, you can definitely mix the maxi dress with some cool wedges or heels!

4 : If you want to know how to wear maxi dress to work, here is a great way. Choose a style that is not too baggy at the bottom and stick to single solid colors etc, lime green, jewel tones, cobalt blue and deep wine colors as these colors are suitable for all skin tones.

5 : If you’re getting ready for a party, a maxi dress is definitely a great choice. Just because it’s night, the dress doesn’t have to be black. This season is all about patterns and colors, so don’t be afraid to choose something like that.
